The Azzurra track, built in 1962, is one of the first go-kart racetracks in Italy. It's been modified in 1985 and is a real icon in the international map of karting. During these 55 years, the Azzurra track saw the world's best drivers competing on its circuit, many of whom came to the highest levels of the Formula 1. In 1968 it hosted the first World Championship and, starting in 1972, the thirteen editions of "Champions Cup": a true World Championship. More recently it hosted the various European and national championships, with talents the kind of Prost, Patrese, Seine, Zanardi, Schumacher, Fisichella, Kubica, Badoer, Hamilton and many others, who have been protagonists of exciting races on the track of Jesolo (Venice). Even today the Pista Azzurra is considered a challenging test bench for the new and old drivers.
