Pop Art in Venice

Pop Art - debunking, critical and ironic - was one of the most popular and appreciated movements of the twentieth century. Pop Art will be the protagonist at the Candiani Cultural Center in Mestre Venice,  until November 2017. Created by the collaboration between the Sonnabend Collection Foundation and the Venice Fondazione Musei Civici, the exhibition features America's extraordinary sixties through a journey through forty masterpieces. A new way of conceiving art in the nascent media culture, Rauschenberg's Combine Paintings and Jasper Johns's Number 8, then the famous Campbell's Soup by Andy Warhol, the beautiful Little Aloha of Lichtenstein, up to Wild Boy and Puppy by Jeff Koons. Very interesting!
